Pedestrian Gates
There’s a right way in and a right way out
A well designed entrance system will guide customers correctly into the
store, allowing you to capture the customer’s attention and create a
recognisable look for your store entrance.
The entrance is the customers’ first meeting with the store.
It must be inviting and welcoming. A well thought-out entrance system
also means that customers naturally go to the checkout area on their way
out, important not least for security and protection against theft.
Flexibility
Our versatile and flexible entrance systems can be designed to meet the
needs of both large and small stores, from Hypermarkets and DIY stores
to small local convenience outlets.
We manufacture and equip our systems in accordance with your wishes, and
there are a range of designs to choose from: Manual and Automatic gates
with right and left-handed designs; one or more gate entrances;
additional partition walls and a range of accessories, such as customer
counters, “Voice boxes”, alarm signals, etc.
Child safety – of course
Children are unpredictable and sometimes go their own way. To provide
reassurance that your smallest visitors are not at risk of being knocked
over or hurt by an opening gate, we have developed ”Childsafe” - a
function in our premium gate, the Rotogate. To make this function
available in all environments, we have developed two alternatives to
Childsafe, depending on the space available.
If a child (or adult) is standing in the safety zone while someone is on
their way into the store, the gate will be blocked until the child has
moved away. As soon as the safety zone is free, the gate automatically
opens again.
Entrance functions
If you decide to equip your store with an automatic entrance system you
have a choice of various entrance functions. Depending on the gate model
selected there are three different options.
Standard – gate normally closed
All of our automatic entrance gates can be configured in this way. As
the name suggests this configuration is simply a gate that opens as the
customer approaches and closes after them.
Welcome – gate always open
With “Welcome” your entrance gates are always open giving an open and
welcoming appearance to your customers. It is easy to enter the store,
but if a customer attempts to leave the store in the wrong direction
then the gate will close automatically and an audible alarm will sound.
This passage function is available for all gate models. The Rotogate can
also be equipped with an audible voice message of your choice.
Secure
As an alternative, our Flexigate and Easygate can be configured to
“Secure” mode. The gates are, as in “Standard” mode, closed on entry. As
a customer approaches the gate will open. If a customer tries to exit
the store in the wrong direction they will close and an audible alarm
will sound. The closing of the gate will override the opening,
preventing customers from waiting for the gate to open normally before
exiting.
Emergency Break Out
All entrance systems are fitted with emergency breakout meaning that the
gate can always be forced in both directions in the case of fire or
other emergency situations. Our premium model, the Rotogate, also has an
automatic reset function after using the emergency breakout facility.
Our other gates require a manual reset.
Overhead Sensor
Our overhead sensor is unique on the market and a perfect solution for
automatic gates where your store entrance has an open front with a
constant stream of passers-by. The overhead sensor places a definitive
footprint or zone on the floor in front of the gate and will open as
soon as the customer enters this pre-defined opening zone. The
sensitivity of the overhead sensor means that it will not react and open
the gate for persons only passing by the entrance outside the opening
zone.
Easy to Adapt and Expand
We believe in making things simple. Our entrance systems are based on
the standard dimensions of our rails and fixings. If you want to change
something it’s simple. You can easily alter and adapt your entrance
system to your store’s unique requirements. It will be easy for you to
supplement or expand your entrance whenever necessary. |
